This is a local group that meets once a month to proliferate the gospel of Rich Internet Application development with a primary focus on Flex/ActionScript development.

The first meeting I attented (in April, 2009) provided some helpful background information on the underlying ActionScript evolutionary path and the fundamentals of the ActionalScript eventing model. Future meeting will delve into further Flex development patterns, third-party frameworks, and open discussions on modern software engineering practices.
